New Mexico Public Education Department: Carl D. Perkins – New Mexico State Supported Institutions
The Public Education Department (PED) provides financial support to serve individuals in state institutions, such as state correctional institutions and institutions that serve individuals with disabilities. The purpose of the Perkins IV Act is to develop more fully the academic, vocational, and technical skills of secondary students and postsecondary students who elect to enroll in career and technical education programs.
The PED is inviting institutions to apply for the Carl D. Perkins funding to be utilized for the development, improvement, and or expansion of Career Technical Education programs for students enrolled in state supported institutions. Interested entities are to submit a 2-year plan detailing activities and budget scope on a yearly basis.
Amount: A total of $20,000 is available over a two-year period ($10,000 per year).
Eligibility: New Mexico state supported institutions.
