Northrop Grumman Foundation: Fab School Labs
Northrop Grumman and the Northrop Grumman Foundation are committed to expanding and enhancing the pipeline of diverse, talented STEM students globally. They provide funding to sustainable STEM programs that span from preschool to high school and through collegiate levels, with a major emphasis on middle school students and teachers.
The Northrop Grumman Foundation Fab School Labs Contest will provide grants to five public middle schools for a fabulous school lab makeover. Students need the latest learning tools and technologies if they are going to meet their full potential, as well as the demands of higher education and ultimately the workforce. Teachers also need a learning environment that is up-to-date in order for them to effectively convey the core principles and lessons that are driving science learning today. Applicants should share their vision for a dream lab makeover, including a video about the current classroom. Up to 25 finalists will be invited to engage the local community to vote for the lab video as a winner.
Amount: Five grants of up to $100,000 each will be provided.
Eligibility: Employees that are official members of the administration or faculty (for example, a teacher, administrator, or department chair) of a public middle school or charter school located in the United States that serves students in grades 5-8.
