Paso Del Norte Health Foundation: A Smoke Free Paso del Norte
The Paso Del Norte Health Foundation will support organizations that propose evidence-based strategies to advance the goal of the Smoke Free Paso del Norte initiative: to eliminate tobacco smoking in the region. Preference will be given to proposals that address one of the following:
- Promote, advocate for, or analyze organizational or community-level policy or systemic changes aimed at helping adults quit, preventing the initiation of tobacco use among young people, reducing exposure to secondhand smoke, or reducing tobacco use among populations disproportionally affected by tobacco use
- Advance the implementation and sustainability of evidence-based individual-level interventions
Amount: Amounts not specified. Two affiliated grants are listed on the Foundation’s website, including: 1) $2,728,234 to the University of Texas El Paso, and 2) $164,236 to the Regents of New Mexico State University.
Eligibility: Nonprofit, tax-exempt organizations, including churches and units of government, located in the Paso del Norte Region.
