Paso Del Norte Health Foundation: Think.Change Initiative

The Paso del Norte Health Foundation will support organizations in one of the following interest areas that help meet the Think.Change initiative goal to reduce stigma associated with mental illness:

• Implementation of evidence based education or contact based programs aimed at reducing the stigma and negative bias associated with mental illness among family members and friends of consumers
• Implementation of evidence-based education or contact interventions aimed at reducing the stigma associated with mental illness among professionals (e.g., teachers, housing managers, law enforcement) who have frequent contact with consumers
• Advocacy for or analysis of organizational policies aimed at reducing the stigma and negative bias associated with mental illness

Amount: Not specified.

Eligibility: Nonprofit tax-exempt organizations, including churches and units of government, located in the Paso del Norte region, which includes El Paso and Hudspeth Counties in far west Texas, Doña Ana, Luna, and Otero Counties in southern New Mexico, and the municipality of Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico.
