Region IX Education Cooperative: Evidence Based Maternal, Infant and Early Childhood Home Visiting ServicesDeadline: April 5, 2019
Region IX Education Cooperative on behalf of the Children, Youth and Families Department (CYFD), Home Visiting Department will support organizations that provide evidence-based Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting Program services to pregnant women and families, particularly those considered at-risk, to ensure that babies are born healthy; children are physically, emotionally, and mentally healthy; children are safe; children and parents have nurturing relationships, and the family is connected to formal and informal supports in the community.
Applicants should procure Home Visiting programs that meet the evidence-based criteria as defined by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (https://homvee.acf.hhs.gov/implementations.aspx) within the current Home Visiting Communities to:
- Provide evidence-based home visiting supports to families
- Strengthen parental commitment to children, enhancing the well-being of both children and their parents
- Ensure that participation includes: Parents and caregivers (including adoptive and teen parents) with children under age five and expectant parents or those with children under the age of five
Amount: The current approved rate for Evidence Based Maternal, Infant and Early Childhood Home Visiting Services is $6,500 per family served.
Eligibility: Public or private organizations with a documented and demonstrated ability to perform evidence-based Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting services. Preference will be given to programs serving high needs communities, programs in the southern region of the State, and current CYFD funded programs.
