Santa Fe Community Foundation: Collaborative Working Group (CWG) Grants
The Santa Fe Birth to Career Collaboration (SF B2C) is a collective impact effort among committed leaders and stakeholders to achieve birth to career success for all Santa Fe children, families, and communities by aligning our strategies, actions, and resources to improve outcomes. The Santa Fe Community Foundation is providing “backbone” support for this initiative.
The shared vision for Birth to Career Success is to achieve:
- Successful transitions across early childhood, K-12, post-secondary and career by ensuring readiness, support, and completion across stages;
- Well-being for vulnerable children & families by providing coordinated, wraparound support to help them thrive and succeed in school; and
- Equity in opportunities for children & families by addressing critical resource gaps in high poverty, high risk schools and community.
Under this initiative, Collaborative Working Groups (CWGs) are groups of cross-sector stakeholders who come together to plan and execute collective actions to improve outcomes in a focused area that are aligned with the shared vision and outcome goals of the B2C Collaboration.
The Collaborative Working Group (CWG) Grants are intended to provide critical capacity building support that helps to catalyze and/or strengthen momentum in the Group’s efforts to effectively organize, plan collective strategies and actions, and execute on collaborative priorities. The financial assistance will be accompanied by technical assistance, coordination and communications support from the SF B2C “backbone” organization (Santa Fe Community Foundation) and the Data Team. Funding can be used to support the Group’s strategic planning, data collection, community engagement, capacity building and/or other short-term collaborative priority initiatives. Additional funding may be available in subsequent years to continue the work of CWGs that are successful and working effectively to improve outcomes.
Amount: $5,000 – $20,000 for 3-7 cohorts of CWGs in 2014.
Eligibility: Collaborative Working Groups may be already existing or newly formed groups working toward focused outcomes in areas of interest to the SC B2C. Groups must consist of at least 4 initial cross-sector stakeholders.
Note: For priority consideration, groups are encouraged to submit proposals by October 27, 2014. After priority consideration, proposals will be accepted on a rolling basis until December 10, 2014, or until funding lasts. An Information & Community Conversation Session will be held on October 9th at 10 a.m. at the Santa Fe Community Foundation.
