Snapdragon Book Foundation Grants
The Snapdragon Book Foundation seeks to foster children’s literacy by providing support to school libraries serving disadvantaged children. The Foundation seeks to improve access to high-quality reading material as an essential element in helping to right inequities created by structural racism, and will award grants to libraries whose proposals pursue the opening of minds, hearts, and imagination for all readers. Grant funds may be used for:
- Books that will be used repeatedly by school-aged children through classroom libraries, central library, or similar uses
- Processing or cataloguing fees from book vendors (for processing of the books ordered with Snapdragon funds)
- Reference materials for use by students
- Magazine or newspaper subscriptions
Amount: Grants typically range from $2,500-$10,000.
Eligibility: Public, private, and experimental preK–12 schools in the United States.
