Taos County: Substance Abuse and/or Alcohol Detoxification and Rehabilitation Services
Taos County seeks proposals from local nonprofits and private providers involved in the provision of health care services for adult(s) and/or youth(s) for alcohol and drug detoxification and rehabilitation to eligible indigent populations of Taos County in need of medical and social outreach services. Funding is intended to work effectively with organizations that can provide health care services to their indigent population. The County is interested in funding organization that have a solid plan to provide health care services to the indigent population that they serve that addresses immediate needs.
Required services shall include County healthcare services for alcohol and/or drug detoxification and rehabilitation, such as ambulatory, triage, and social model; peer support or any other services provided for recovery; preventative health care services for addiction and recovery; nutritional education and health outreach services to the indigent; and public health and safety-related education or implementation initiatives or other similar community services that can be demonstrated to promote improved health and quality of life of the indigent population with an addiction that are Taos County residents. A facility may be available through a local governmental entity.
Amount: Contract awards will be made. Funding may only be used for direct service costs incurred in the delivery of the service(s) to the end user recipients.
Eligibility: An agency which is a unit of state or local government and/or an agency currently incorporated as a nonprofit corporation, duly registered and in good standing with the State of New Mexico Public Regulation Commission, and/or an entity which has a not-for-profit status under the U.S. Internal Revenue Service Code and which has demonstrated capability in providing the services for which it is applying is an eligible responder
