U.S. Department of Agriculture: Energy Audit and Renewable Energy Development Assistance Program
The Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) helps agricultural producers and rural small businesses reduce energy costs and consumption and helps meet the Nation’s critical energy needs. REAP has two types of funding assistance:
- Renewable Energy Systems and Energy Efficiency Improvements Assistance
- Energy Audit and Renewable Energy Development Assistance Grants
The Energy Audit and Renewable Energy Development Assistance Grant will establish a program to assist agricultural producers and rural small businesses with evaluating the energy efficiency and the potential to incorporate renewable energy technologies into their operations.
Amount: Awards of up to $20,000 will be awarded.
Eligibility: Units of State, Tribal, or local government; instrumentalities of a State, Tribal, or local government; institutions of higher education; rural electric cooperatives; public power entities; or a council.
