U.S. Department of Agriculture: Rural Cooperative Development Grant
The Rural Cooperative Development Grant (RCDG) program will provide financial assistance to improve the economic condition of rural areas through cooperative development.
Applicants are encouraged to consider projects that provide measurable results in helping rural communities build robust and sustainable economies through strategic investments in
infrastructure, partnerships, and innovation. Key strategies include:
- Achieving e-Connectivity for Rural America
- Developing the Rural Economy
- Harnessing Technological Innovation
- Supporting a Rural Workforce
- Improving Quality of Life
Amount: Approximately $5,800,000 is available to make grants of up to $200,000. Grant funds may be used to pay for up to 75 percent of the cost of establishing and operating centers for rural cooperative development. Grant funds may be used to pay for 95 percent of the cost of establishing and operating centers for rural cooperative development, when the applicant is a 1994 Institution, commonly known as Tribal Land Grant Institutions.
Eligibility: Non-profit corporations or institutions of higher education.
