The Health Center Program supports public and private nonprofit community-based and patient-directed organizations that provide primary health care services to the Nation’s medically underserved populations. The purpose of the Service Area Competition (SAC) is to ensure continued access to affordable, quality primary health care services for communities and populations currently served by the Health Center Program.
Amount: Approximately $208,314,727 is available to fund up to 50 recipients.
Eligibility: Domestic public or nonprofit private entities. Domestic faith-based and community-based organizations, tribes, and tribal organizations are eligible to apply.
Applicants must provide continuity of services, ensuring availability and accessibility in the service area, by proposing to serve an announced service area listed in the Service Area Announcement Table (SAAT) (https://bphc.hrsa.gov/sac/). Eligible service areas listed in New Mexico are zip codes within the City of Portales.
