U.S. Department of Homeland Security: Tribal Homeland Security Grant Program
The Tribal Homeland Security Grant Program (THSGP) will provide funding to strengthen Tribes’ capacity to prepare for and respond to emergency situations and supports the goal of Readying the Nation for Catastrophic Disasters. THSGP provides funding directly to eligible Tribes to support the building, sustainment, and delivery of core capabilities to enable Tribes to strengthen their capacities to prevent, protect against, mitigate, respond to, and recover from potential terrorist attacks.
The following have been identified as national priority areas:
- Emerging Threats, including Cybersecurity
- Lifelines
- Safety and Security
- Food, Water, Sheltering
- Health and Medical
- Energy
- Communications
- Transportation
- Hazardous Material
Amount: Approximately $10,000,000 is available to fund projects for a period of 36 months.
Eligibility: Federally recognized Native American Tribal governments.
