U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development: Community Development Block Grant Program for Indian Tribes and Alaska Native Villages
The Community Development Block Grant Program supports the development of viable Indian and Alaska Native communities, including the creation of decent housing, suitable living environments, and economic opportunities primarily for persons with low- and moderate- incomes. Applicants may request funding for:
a. Single Purpose Grants – Projects funded by this program must principally benefit low- and moderate-income persons
b. Imminent Threat Grants – Applicants may also apply for funds to address issues that have an immediate negative impact on public health or safety of tribal residents
Amount: A total of $65,000,000 is anticipated to be available to make up to 75 awards ranging from $500,000 to $4,000,000.
Eligibility: Native American tribal governments and Native American tribal organizations may apply.
