Wells Fargo Foundation makes contributions in areas that it believes are important to the future of the nation’s vitality and success. Its first priority is to support programs and organizations whose chief purpose is to benefit low- and moderate-income individuals and families. The Foundation’s Education focus area will support organizations that promote academic achievement for low- and moderate-income students by:
- Eliminating the preK–12th grade achievement gap in public education
- Facilitating merit-based access to higher education for underrepresented groups
- Providing post-secondary support to colleges and universities
- Advancing teaching through recruitment, professional development, support, and retention of teachers
Amount: Grants typically range between $1,000-$15,000.
Eligibility: Nonprofit organizations and tribal and governmental agencies, including public school systems.
