Day 2: Planning & Writing

  • The Solution: Developing work plans, timelines, and supporting materials.

Day 3: Details & Submission

  • The People: Showcasing your organization’s capacity and gathering key attachments.
  • The Money: Crafting budgets and addressing financial management.
  • The Bookends: Writing summaries, responding to sustainability questions, and ensuring compliance.
  • The Plant: Submitting complete and compliant proposals and leveraging funder feedback.
  • The Funder: Hear directly from grant-makers about what works—and what doesn’t.

Meet Your Trainer

Aly Sanchez brings more than 20 years of grant writing experience to the workshop. As Director of Strategy and Organizational Development for The Grant Plant, Aly has successfully developed complex private, state, and federal proposals. She is also a specialist in proposal strategy, project design, and organizational capacity building. Aly’s expertise is backed by her training in Results-Based Accountability (RBA) and the UNM Evaluation Lab’s Evaluation Summer Institute.
