100&Change, Deadline: August 15, 2024

Some problems cannot be solved by grants of the size that foundations typically provide. By funding at a level far above what is typical in philanthropy, 100&Change addresses problems and supports solutions that are radically different in scale, scope, and complexity. 100&Change remains open to organizations and collaborations working in any field, anywhere in the world. Proposals must identify a problem and offer a solution that promises significant and durable change.

Outdoor Equity Fund, Deadline: August 31, 2024

Access to the outdoors is a basic human right – yet it’s one that has often been denied to many of our youth. As a result, our underrepresented kids haven’t had the chance to experience some of the best of New Mexico: its outside world. The Outdoor Equity Fund (OEF) was created to ensure equitable access to the outdoors for all youth. The grant supports transformative outdoor experiences that foster stewardship and respect for New Mexico’s lands, waters, and cultural heritage. The Outdoor Equity Fund has granted over $5.7 million to nearly 250 organizations throughout the state since creation in 2019, to get over 72,000 young New Mexicans outside for transformative experiences, inspiring our next generation of outdoor recreation and conservation leaders.

CCCC Emergent Researcher Awards, Deadline: September 1, 2024

The awards program is intended to support efforts by the organization and its members to become a clear, trusted public voice on writing and writing instruction issues. Grants of up to $5,000 over as many as two years will be awarded in support of projects that can contribute to or influence discussions about literacy and writing instruction in and out of formal education. The initiative also asks recipients to address the impact their research might have on these conversations, conveying the potential implications of their work in at least two final products: one that is addressed to a scholarly audience of researchers and teachers in the field and one that is addressed to a specifically identified more public audience.

Outdoor Recreation Trails + Grant, Deadline: September 30, 2024 (Applications accepted on a rolling basis with three rounds until February 28, 2025.)

Access to the outdoors should be low-cost and ubiquitous for all New Mexicans. That’s why lawmakers created the Outdoor Recreation Trails+. This grant program supports projects that enhance communities’ outdoor recreation opportunities. Trails, river parks, wildlife viewing areas, and more contribute to economic development, prosperity, and wellness. This grant funds shovel-ready projects that directly add to that access. The Outdoor Recreation Division has now awarded 147 Trails+ Grants worth over $15 million to 29 New Mexico counties since program inception in 2020.
