New Mexico Energy, Minerals, and Natural Resources Department

  • Deadline: November 25, 2024
  • Purpose: This grant funds conservation and land restoration projects, primarily through conservation easements, agricultural easements, and associated costs. Eligible projects focus on protecting and restoring New Mexico’s natural heritage.
  • Award Size: Project funding amount not specified; funds are distributed as reimbursements for actual costs, with restrictions on indirect costs and equipment purchases.
  • Eligibility: Open to New Mexico state agencies, public educational institutions, political subdivisions, and tribes or pueblos. Nonprofit conservation entities may participate in partnership with an eligible applicant.

Native American Library Services Basic Grants

Classics for Kids Foundation

Reimagining Nursing Initiative – American Nurses Foundation

  • Deadline: January 10, 2025

  • Award Size: $2 million is available. Award amounts vary based on project scope and funding needs.

ACLS Digital Justice Development Grants

  • Deadline: December 3, 2024
  • Purpose: Funded by the Mellon Foundation, these grants support digital projects that engage with the histories and interests of marginalized communities using ethical digital tools. Assistance to Firefighters Program

  • Deadline: December 20, 2024 ​
  • Purpose: The Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) Program aims to enhance the safety of firefighters and the public regarding fire and fire-related hazards by providing financial assistance for critical training and equipment. This includes outfitting responders with compliant personal protective equipment, funding to retrofit or modify facilities to protect personnel from known health hazards, acquiring emergency response vehicles, designing and implementing health, wellness and resiliency programs that prepare responders for incident response, enhancing operational efficiencies, fostering interoperability, and supporting community resilience. ​
  • Award Amount: The available funding for the NOFO is $291,600,000, with a projected number of 2,000 awards. ​
  • Eligibility: Fire departments, nonaffiliated EMS organizations, State Fire Training Academies, and non-federal airport/port authority fire or EMS organizations with specific arrangements.

RAISE Transportation Discretionary Grants: FY 2025 National Infrastructure Investments

  • Deadline: January 30, 2025
  • Purpose: This program funds capital investments in surface transportation projects that address unmet infrastructure needs. Eligible projects include highways, bridges, public transit, rail, ports, airport components, and other multimodal transportation projects, with specific support for projects on tribal lands and those improving aquatic habitat.
  • Award Size: Awards range from $1,000,000 for rural projects and $5,000,000 for other projects, with a ceiling of $25,000,000. Total funding available is $1.5 billion.
  • Eligibility: Open to U.S. states, local governments, tribal entities, transit agencies, port authorities, and multijurisdictional groups, among others.
