Conservation and Outdoor Recreation Challenge Cost Share Grants
- Deadline: January 10, 2025, at 6:00 PM MST
- Purpose: The grant supports projects aligned with the National Park Service (NPS) mission, focusing on addressing the climate crisis, protecting or restoring lands and waters, advancing equity for underserved youth, and expanding outdoor recreation opportunities.
- Award Size: Up to $25,000 per project.
- Eligibility: Eligible applicants include nonprofits, government entities, Tribes, and educational institutions, but applications must be submitted by NPS managers in collaboration with project partners. Projects must directly benefit NPS-administered lands and have NPS staff involvement and local endorsements.

Mabee Foundation
- Deadline: December 2, 2024 (future deadlines: March 1, 2025; June 3, 2025; September 2, 2025)
- Purpose: Mabee Foundation grants support nonprofit capital and renovation projects, as well as the purchase of major medical equipment. Focus areas include education, social services, health, community, culture, and religion. These are challenge grants requiring recipients to raise the remaining project funds within one year of the award.
- Award Size: Up to $2,000,000, limited to 20% of total project costs.
- Eligibility: Applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations located in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arkansas, Missouri, or Kansas. Applicants must have secured 40% of the project’s funding from public donors before submitting an application.

Keepers of the Earth Fund
- Deadline: Letter of inquiry by February 10, 2025; full proposals by invitation only.
- Purpose: Keepers of the Earth Fund (KOEF), managed by Cultural Survival, provides grants to Indigenous-led projects that support community advocacy, cultural preservation, sustainable development, and environmental conservation. Focus areas include Indigenous sovereignty, language revitalization, land protection, and addressing environmental challenges.

Frost Foundation

Rural Microentrepreneur Assistance Program
- Deadline: December 31, 2024 (deadlines quarterly)

LANL Grants & Sponsorships

- Purpose: Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) offers grants and sponsorships to local nonprofits through its Community Commitment Plan. Focus areas include economic diversity, K-12 STEM education, workforce development, and support for community nonprofits.
- Award Size: Up to $5,000.
- Eligibility: Applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofits registered under New Mexico’s Charitable Solicitations Act, with a physical presence and operations primarily in one of the following counties: Los Alamos, Mora, Rio Arriba, San Miguel, Sandoval, Santa Fe, or Taos.

National Science Foundation Future Manufacturing Program
- Deadline: January 13, 2025, by 5:00 PM local time of the applicant organization.
- Purpose: The NSF Future Manufacturing program supports research, education, and workforce training to develop transformative manufacturing capabilities. It seeks to address scientific, technological, economic, and social barriers while enabling innovative manufacturing solutions to tackle challenges such as climate change, health disparities, economic divides, and environmental sustainability. Science for Nature & People Partnership

Stranahan Foundation

Native American Affairs: Technical Assistance to Tribes for Fiscal Year 2025
- Deadline: February 27, 2025
- Purpose: The Bureau of Reclamation’s Native American Affairs Technical Assistance Program (TAP) provides financial and technical support to federally recognized Indian Tribes. TAP aims to foster partnerships to help Tribes develop, manage, and protect their water and related resources. American Indian and Alaska Native Head Start Expansion, Early Head Start Expansion, and Early Head Start-Child Care Partnership Grants

- Purpose: The American Indian and Alaska Native (AIAN) Head Start Expansion Grant aims to expand access to high-quality, comprehensive early learning services for income-eligible AIAN children (birth to school age) and pregnant women.
