Grant Watch: Week of 4/7/25

The Grant Plant routinely reviews funder websites and notices and is pleased to share some upcoming opportunities with you.

Con Alma Annual Grants

  • Deadline: Letters of Intent – April 15, 2025, Full Applications – May 30, 2025
  • Purpose: To support efforts that impact multiple individuals within a network or community, focusing on areas such as access to healthcare, culturally appropriate services, evaluation/research, health promotion, policy, and workforce development.
  • Award Size: $15,000-$30,000
  • Eligibility: Open to tax-exempt, nonprofit organizations under Section 501(c)(3) or those with a fiscal sponsor having 501(c)(3) status. Projects must benefit people living in New Mexico.

Multi-Year Grant

  • Deadline: Letters of Intent – April 15, 2025, Full Applications – June 30, 2025
  • Purpose: To support long-term systemic change addressing health inequities, focusing on areas such as access to healthcare, culturally appropriate services, evaluation/research, health promotion, policy, and workforce development.
  • Award Size: Up to $150,000
  • Eligibility: Open to tax-exempt, nonprofit organizations under Section 501(c)(3) or those with a fiscal sponsor having 501(c)(3) status. Organizations must demonstrate at least three years of successful programming. Projects must benefit people living in New Mexico.

Northern New Mexico Health Grant

  • Deadline: May 30, 2025
  • Purpose: To support health initiatives benefiting residents of Rio Arriba County, Los Alamos County, and areas outside the city limits of Santa Fe County, focusing on areas such as access to healthcare, culturally appropriate services, evaluation/research, health promotion, policy, and workforce development.​
  • Award Size: $10,000-$20,000
  • Eligibility: Open to tax-exempt, nonprofit organizations under Section 501(c)(3) or those with a fiscal sponsor having 501(c)(3) status. Projects must benefit residents of the specified Northern New Mexico counties.

Safe Streets and Roads for All Funding Opportunity

  • Deadline: June 26, 2025
  • Purpose: To support initiatives that enhance roadway safety and reduce traffic-related fatalities and serious injuries through infrastructure improvements, planning, and innovative safety strategies.
  • Award Size: $100,000-$25,000,000
  • Eligibility: Public and state-controlled institutions of higher education, federally recognized Native American tribal governments, county governments, city or township governments, independent school districts, special district governments, metropolitan planning organizations, and other political subdivisions of a state or territory.

Tribal Wildlife Grant Program

  • Deadline: June 20, 2025
  • Purpose: To support conservation programs that benefit wildlife and their habitats, including projects that develop or implement Tribal natural resource management plans, restore native species, or address climate change impacts.
  • Award Size: $25,000-$200,000
  • Eligibility: Federally recognized Native American tribal governments listed in the Federal Register Notice of Indian Entities Recognized and Eligible to Receive Services from the Bureau of Indian Affairs.

Digital Humanities Advancement Grants

  • Deadline: May 22, 2025
  • Purpose: To support innovative digital projects in the humanities, including research, software development, and the creation of digital resources that enhance scholarly and public engagement with the humanities.
  • Award Size: Up to to $350,000
  • Eligibility: City or township governments, special district governments, nonprofits with 501(c)(3) status, private and public institutions of higher education, state governments, county governments, and federally recognized Native American tribal governments.

Connecting Joy Grant Program

  • Deadline: May 22, 2025
  • Purpose: To support hospitals in establishing or enhancing comprehensive gaming programs for pediatric patients, providing equipment, staffing, connectivity, and other resources to facilitate gaming experiences that offer positive distractions and a sense of normalcy during hospital stays.
  • Award Size: $25,000-$65,000
  • Eligibility: Applicants must be children’s hospitals, general hospitals with dedicated pediatric departments, or nonprofit organizations serving children battling illness within geographic proximity to Dunkin’ locations. The program specifically aims to provide experiences for teens.

Finish Line Youth Foundation Grants

  • Deadline: May 15, 2025
  • Purpose: To support organizations that provide opportunities for youth participation in programs promoting an active and healthy lifestyle, including projects related to personal development, health and wellness, and education.
  • Award Size: Up to $10,000
  • Eligibility: Nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) status that focus on youth under the age of 18, particularly those serving underrepresented communities.

Grants for Visual Artists

  • Deadline: April 28, 2025
  • Purpose: To provide direct support to under-recognized visual artists for the development of their work.
  • Award Size: Up to $10,000
  • Eligibility: Self-defined under-recognized visual artists aged 21 years or older​, must be a United States citizen or Legal Permanent Resident​, and not currently enrolled in an art-related degree program, nor have been enrolled in the past 12 months, nor planning to enroll in the coming year.

2026 Technical Assistance for Specialty Crops

  • Deadline: June 6, 2025
  • Purpose: To address sanitary, phytosanitary, and technical barriers that prohibit or threaten the export of U.S. specialty crops by funding projects that improve market access and remove trade obstacles.
  • Award Size: Up to $9,000,000
  • Eligibility: Nonprofit U.S. organizations, trade associations, universities, and federal/state agencies with a demonstrated ability to support international market development for specialty crops.
