Your impact will be felt across the entire company, as you ensure accurate invoicing, handle payroll, support onboarding, and foster clear communication between clients, staff, and leadership.

Your work will help us maintain our high standards and continuously improve our operations, whether it’s managing finances, fielding client inquiries, or supporting HR needs.

Key Responsibilities

As our Business Operations Manager, you’ll take on a variety of duties, such as:

  • Financial Management: From generating client invoices and managing payroll to ensuring compliance with legal and tax obligations, you’ll ensure the financial side of our organization runs smoothly.
  • Project Coordination: You’ll keep project workflows up to date, oversee contract tracking, and act as a key point of contact for project-related communications.
  • Client Relations: You’ll foster strong relationships with clients, handle inquiries, prepare scopes of work, and communicate our value through client ROI letters.
  • Administrative and HR Support: You’ll provide essential support to ensure our team has what it needs to thrive, including recruiting and onboarding new team members and managing our internship program.

  • Experience with financial responsibilities such as payroll, accounts receivable / accounts payable, etc.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and techniques.
  • Strong client relationship management and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of HR practices (onboarding, compliance, employee records, and labor law familiarity).
  • Experience in office administration and operational management (managing supplies, calendars, and event logistics).
  • Familiarity with grant writing, non-profit work, or funding processes (preferred but not required).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial reports, contracts, and administrative tasks.
  • A proactive mindset, anticipating needs, identifying process improvements, and taking initiative and following through.
